Bringing Grief Support Closer to Home: Compassionate Grief Centre Expands to Fredericton
Grief can affect every part of our lives, yet finding the right support shouldn't have to be another challenge to navigate alone.
Compassionate Grief Centre (CGC) is pleased to expand its services to Fredericton, helping more individuals and families access compassionate, affordable grief counselling and emotional support closer to home.
Since opening our doors in 2020, we have been committed to supporting people navigating the loss of a loved one, changes in health, and the many challenges life can bring. Through our expansion into Fredericton, we are taking another important step toward making grief support more accessible to communities throughout New Brunswick.
Creating More Opportunities for Support
Grief looks different for everyone. It can follow the death of someone we love, a life-changing diagnosis, the loss of a relationship, or a major transition that changes the life we once knew. Whatever the circumstances, no one should feel they have to navigate these experiences alone.
Our Fredericton expansion will help connect more people with professional counselling and a supportive environment where their experiences are heard, understood, and respected.
We recognize that accessing mental health support can be difficult for many reasons, including cost, location, and knowing where to turn. By expanding our reach, we hope to reduce some of these barriers and help more people find the support that works for them.

Expanding our services takes more than opening a new location. It takes a community that believes in the importance of mental health, understands the impact of grief, and is willing to work together to make support possible.
We are grateful for the community partners and funders who are helping make this expansion possible, including the Shaker Hill, Sussex Area Community Foundation, and Fundy Community Foundation, whose support is helping CGC extend its reach across New Brunswick.
As a community-funded organization, partnerships and donations play an important role in helping us provide accessible services to those who need them. Every contribution helps strengthen the network of care available to individuals and families navigating loss.
