Supporting Senior Mental Health Through Loss and Change.
Our seniors living in special care and nursing homes have experienced profound and repeated loss—the loss of loved ones, independence, routines, and meaningful connection—yet their grief is too often overlooked. Many have endured this pain quietly, with limited support, during some of the most isolating years of their lives. We believe they deserve to be seen, heard, and cared for. Through partnerships with local nursing homes and senior-serving organizations, we are honoured to offer free grief counselling to our most vulnerable seniors, ensuring they are not forgotten and do not have to carry their grief alone.
The Loch Lomond Villa Foundation is a registered charity dedicated to enhancing the lives of seniors at Loch Lomond Villa in Saint John by funding programs, equipment, and experiences that go beyond what standard government funding covers. The Foundation supports initiatives that enrich quality of life—such as music therapy, resident outings, therapeutic equipment, and comfort-enhancing amenities—ensuring seniors enjoy more engaging, meaningful days. Through generous community giving and partnerships, the Foundation helps make everyday life brighter and more connected for both residents and their families. By investing in creative programming and supportive resources, it honours the dignity, comfort, and well-being of older adults in long-term care and outreach services.
