    Dr. Rizk studied Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University, Alexandria, Egypt. His pediatric neurology training was shared between KSA and the UK. Subsequently, he completed a CESR in Pediatric Neurology from the UK.

    Dr. Rizk is an award winning pediatric neurologist and Professor of Pediatric Neurology at Dalhousie University. He has presented his work in many worldwide conferences and symposia and is a member of the Editorial board of multiple reputable journals in the field of pediatric neurology.

    Dr. Rizk is dedicated to ensuring that children and young people with neurological conditions achieve the best quality of life, through the provision of excellent diagnosis, investigation, intervention and management.

    Dr. Rizk is proud to be a founding Board Member of the Compassionate Grief Centre.

  • Kelly’s enthusiasm is contagious. She is an experienced leader and understands at the core everyone wants to be successful, do great work and be valued for their contribution. She has created successful teams knowing this and is highly motivated in ensuring the success and well being of her team members. Kelly coaches, encourages and mentors in such a way, results reached are greater than her team members ever imagined.

    She is a lifelong Saint John and area resident and a retired Scotiabank Branch Manager (2018) after a long and successful career.

    She is an expert client relationship manager, having built a practice where her clients and their families relied upon her advice for many of their financial decisions.

    Kelly is the founding member of Scotiabank’s Women in Leadership chapter in the Saint John area and has seen the professional growth of many Scotiabank employees through this initiative.

    She is also a proud founding Board Member of the Compassionate Grief Centre.

  • CPA, CGA, CIRP, LIT

    Since 1995, Matt has been helping individuals and businesses in financial difficulty across the Maritimes. 

    He has been a Licensed Insolvency Trustee (LIT) since 2003 and a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) since 2008. 

    Through his extensive experience, Matt brings an efficient and practical approach to dealing with insolvency. 

    Matt joined the Board of Directors in April 2021 to serve as Treasurer.

    Matt works for Bromwich & Smith, a licensed insolvency trustee and debt relief specialist. He is also the Board Chair of Speed Skate New Brunswick.

  • BBA, CPA

    Ashley graduated from UNB in 2008 with a BBA, honours in marketing.

    She worked for a marketing firm for 1 year before joining her father in the family business in 2009. She focused on growing and managing the business (E-Zee Gas Services) that her father established in 2002.

    Ashley’s brother Jason died in 2018 after a short-term battle with cancer. Ashley and her family understand first-hand the darkness of grief and loss.

    Ashley was proud to join the founding Board of the Compassionate Grief Centre in 2020 to help support the development of community programs and services to help people on the grief journey. The Annual Jason Zelward Physical Challenge is named in his honor and extensively supported by the Zelward Family.

    Ashley is currently working as an accountant for Estabrooks Whittaker and Associates. 

  • BA, B.Ed, MACP, Psy.D

    Caley holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D) and a Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology (M.A.C.P). Caley also holds a Bachelor of Social Work and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Maine, as well as a Bachelor of Arts from the University of New Brunswick.

    Caley spent the first 13 years of her career working within the public system for the Department of Social Development, as well as the Department of Education.

    Her areas of interest include providing individual counselling to children, youth, and adults for a variety of mental health concerns.

    Caley joined the Board in the Fall of 2020 and is proud to support the work of a community charity.

  • Dennis brings a wealth of experience and a heart full of compassion to the Compassionate Grief Centre’s Board of Directors. Currently, he’s the voice behind the morning radio show on K100 and in the afternoons on 93 CFBC.

    Prior to that he worked for Acadia Broadcasting for over 9 years. Dennis also has a background as a Technical Analyst for Xerox where he won multiple outstanding customer service awards for his outstanding service. Earlier in his career he was responsible for team building for Corpora Tel, a CCL Group of Companies and served as Manager of the Petro-Canada on Somerset Street.

    Dennis excels at customer service, sales, team building and the creative arts. He is also a professional public speaker, musician, DJ, graphic designer, photographer, videographer who does voice overs and commercial productions.

    Dennis is a positive force in our community with a kind and caring personality and excited to support the work of the Compassionate Grief Centre
